Greetings

Hello, everybody. I'm quite a newbie trying to decipher the new world of Linux and get rid of all the problems raised by Windows, which I have been using for so many years. I have installed Linux Mint 19.3 and I like it a lot, but, like all newbies, I feel shy, trying to find alternatives to my Windows programs (which are not many, but very specific to my likes and hobbies). And like all newbies, I feel a little bit intimidated by the "TERMINAL", whose commands are mysteries to me at this time. I hope you all excuse me for my long introduction and you will help me if I really need help (even though I'm not a young one, I will try first all the available documentation and forums, avoiding wasting anyone's time).
