The Denver Broncos fired offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello after one season, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Scangarello joined Vic Fangio's staff in the Mile High City after a two-year run as quarterbacks coach under Kyle Shanahan with the San Francisco 49ers.

The Broncos struggled offensively for much of the campaign but found a groove late after inserting rookie quarterback Drew Lock into the lineup. They finished the regular season ranked 28th in yards and points per game.

Denver is coming off a 7-9 campaign and owns the 15th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
