lsusb dosn't see connected phone on USB 3.0
by bitfuzzy from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4Y6C3)
Initially I thought this was a kernel driver issue relating to my phone, however upon further testing It's looking to be an issue with USB 3
I'm running Slackware-Current on a new laptop which only has USB 3 ports
When I connect my Samsung phone dmesg sees an android device however lsusb doesn't.
The result is I'm unable to connect to the device via USB to either mount as a external drive, or use the device as a internet connection via USB tether
Under USB 2 on a different PC running 14.1 everything works fine, but when connected to a USB 3 port on the same PC again nothing.
Is there a way to get this working??
