Alps PS/2 Glidepoint touchpad drivers for NOOB
by ej_219 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4YADG)
Does anyone know where I can get drivers for Alps touchpad? Have searched internet for days.
Recently installed Linux Mint Debian Edition Cindy onto Dell Inspiron 15 N5040, previously had Windows 7. My touchpad is now hyper-sensitive and jumps a lot. Touchpad sensitivity settings are at the lowest setting. Hardware is Alps PS/2 Glidepoint, LMDE installed synaptics drivers. I really like this Linux distro, but touchpad problems may be a deal breaker if unable to fix.
