ways to monitor the dhcpd service

Rhel 6.10, for now

I need to know of a way to monitor the dhcpd service itself, in case it stops. Something that would send me an email notification.

I have nagios core right now, using the check_dhcp plugin, but it doesn't tell me if the service stops, only if there are other issues.

I'd think that something like this would exist. Free, if possible, as it'd be kind of a hard sell the higher ups!latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=KNIJhNmI9Uc:0079AttsLlQ:F7zBnMy latest?i=KNIJhNmI9Uc:0079AttsLlQ:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=KNIJhNmI9Uc:0079AttsLlQ:gIN9vFwKNIJhNmI9Uc
