slight graphics/notifications annoyance?
by bigjohn from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4YEQA)
ok, so all my current Kubuntu installation is working apparently fine.
The PC has an nvidia graphics card, and I "think" I've got the right driver installed and working (but I'm not sure how I can confirm that).
At the same time, I'm getting a periodical graphic notification window that opens and dialogue telling me that it's got an intel graphics chip installed.
I have no idea how or where to look, so I can make sure that I'm using the right driver for the nvidia grapics card or how to switch off the notifications (which I'm wondering whether they're coming from the hard drive/BIOS (or whatever it's called these days).
Does anyone have any suggestions where I start looking etc ?
regards (and advanced thanks for any assistance you may be able to provide)
John
