Sharkoon’s Light2 200 Gaming Mouse is just 62 grams
When you're whipping around de_dust in CounterStrike, the last thing you want is for your tools to get in the way. Sharkoon wants you to forget there's even a mouse in your hand with its virtually-weightless Light2 200 gaming mouse.
Sharkoon's latest gaming-focused mouse, the Light2-officially Light^2-200, weighs in at just 62 grams. For reference, mouse weighs 95 grams; about the same as a full deck of playing cards. The Light2 200 drops a full third of that weight (or about 18 playing cards).
The features don't stop there, though. The Light2 200 offers a bunch of customization options. The honeycomb-style cover can be swapped out with a closed top that adds about 3 grams to the mouse's overall weight. The mouse also offers interchangeable DPI buttons of different colors and sizes, and the now-mandatory RGB LED lightning, controlled through Sharkoon's own software.
Underneath the swappable cover, you'll find the industry-standard 16,000 DPI Pixart 3389 sensor. The mouse has six programmable buttons, and the DPI can be programmed with seven steps of resolution.
To keep the mouse moving smoothly, the feet on the bottom are 100% PTFE, and the cable features a braided wrap.
Reviews are describing the Light2 200 as a sturdy piece of hardware well worth the price. It's the latest in what seems like a complete flip of trends from a few years ago. We've seen so many mice focused on a heavy feel and adding on as many features as possible. This mouse is refreshingly straight-forward and not nearly so eye-searing at the checkout register.
The Sharkoon Light2 200 is already available in Europe for 43.99, or 49.99 Euros, which translates to about $55 US. There's no word yet on when we'll see it over here.
