debian 10 on i3wm, Apt-get no longer works
by alanahiguess from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4YPJ2)
Hello. I am new to linux. I have been following tutorials on how to use i3wm and i have come across a problem where using any sudo apt-get/ apt commands returns
Code:/usr/bin/apt-get: 1: /usr/bin/apt-get: Syntax error: word unexpected (expecting ")")this is obviously a problem as well.... I cant install anything that isnt from dpkg (which still works)
this could be related to me installing the AMD64 architecture, as most things i needed did not have a i386 ver. Any help getting apt to work will help. I have already tried to remove and purge and reinstall it from a .deb package multiple times to no avail.
