How to change lightdm login box

Hello,
This is a question about changing the lightdm box where you actually type your user name and password, not the background image. Do I need to install a new lightdm theme to accomplish this. Now that I'm typing this, it seems more clear that changing the theme might work. Next question, what config file would I edit and which directory would I place the theme? Maybe:
Edit /etc/lightdm/lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf
and place new theme in: /usr/share/themes
