Starting a window in snapped mode

Hi
I have added gnome-terminal in cinnamon startup and it is starting fine. However, every time after gnome-terminal is launched, I use to pull it to left edge of screen to get snapped to left side (please check attached screenshot), nothing urgent but it looks good there. So, my question is that is there any setting which I can use so that the gnome-terminal starts in snapped mode automatically?
