"Install" vs. "live" w/persistence

Evening:
I looked (quite a bit) and I'm sure this topic has been approached before. In YOUR OPINION, what method is best when running LinuxMint from a pendrive. This is only opinion, for I've exhausted the net in search of a "definitive" answer and must say. well...you find what you want...meaning...if you think one method is better than the other, you'll find loads of info on that side of the debate! So, I must say, it boiled down to opinion and all I ask is what your reason(s) are for using the method you do. NO DEBATES/ARGUING..Please.
