Installing package from SBo 14.2 while on current
by heinhaim from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4Z71B)
Hello everybody.
I'm new to Slackware. Just a couple of days since i've installed it for the first time.
I have to use current branch because my hardware is quite new (2019-2020).
I'd like to know could there be any troubles with my current system if i install an important for my workflow package from SBo 14.2 instead of SBo current. I'm talking about syncthing package. I don't know why but in SBo 14.2 syncthing version is higher than in SBo current (1.3.4 against 1.1.0). Is it a common practice to do such thing? Or should i beware of installing packages from 14.2 while i'm on current?
Thanks in advance.
