Help Me!!

(disclaimer: my first language is not English, so sorry if I make mistakes)
An IT put Linux on my laptop and it was working alright for months, but for around 4-5 weeks ago it didn't update anything even if it says "32 updates available" I click on "install" and than it says some of them are not verified. I can "cancel" it or click on "apply" I choose apply and it says that "not every update was installed" and in the details part it says
c": Output/Input error
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2)
I have tried to use the terminal code:
sudo apt-get upgrade
but the same thing happens.
What can I do?
