Any way to save/restore desktop icon positions in KDE Plasma?
by Shajirr from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4Z9QW)
I found a script for this which (supposedly) works on Ubuntu, but I'm drawing a blank for KDE.
Searching the System Settings I did not find anything like that.
I spent a fairly long time arranging icons and memorising their position, only for some program launched through Wine to change desktop resolution, and upon restoring native res, icon positions were not restored.
Losing icon positions on any resolution change makes desktop icons very much useless.
If there is no such function implemented anywhere, where are the desktop icon positions are stored?
Maybe I can just backup/restore those files myself as needed
