ClamAV Database Name

root@ubuntu:/var/log/clamav# freshclam
ERROR: /var/log/clamav/freshclam.log is locked by another process
ERROR: Problem with internal logger (UpdateLogFile = /var/log/clamav/freshclam.log).
ERROR: initialize: libfreshclam init failed.
ERROR: Initialization error!
root@ubuntu:/var/log/clamav# exit
exit
howardr@ubuntu:~$ freshclam
ERROR: Can't create temporary directory /var/lib/clamav/tmp
Hint: The database directory must be writable for UID 1000 or GID 1000
ERROR: Initialization error!

Using Kubuntu Linux at current level with all needed updates.
Can anyone help me with this issue and/or give the name of the Clamav database so I can change the permissions. Thanks
