The Arizona Cardinals' offense took a big leap forward in 2019 under the new partnership of head coach Kliff Kingsbury and rookie quarterback Kyler Murray.

And with Arizona holding the No. 8 overall pick in the upcoming draft, the Offensive Rookie of the Year winner is hoping to reunite with ex-Oklahoma teammate and top wide receiver prospect CeeDee Lamb.

"Me and CeeDee have a great relationship," Murray told The Arizona Republic's Bob McManaman, via Jeremy Cluff. "That's one of my boys. I would obviously be very fond of that pick. Obviously, I don't make the choices. I'm here for whatever, but I'm looking forward to free agency and us adding some great players and adding more of them in the draft so we can continue to grow this thing.

"But yeah, if we pick CeeDee, that would be great. We have a very comfortable relationship. I've played with him, I've been with him for years, so yeah, I don't think that would be a bad pick at all."

Lamb is in contention to be the first wideout selected in the 2020 NFL Draft, along with the Alabama duo of Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs III.

During Murray's Heisman-winning campaign in 2018, Lamb was one of his favorite targets, catching 65 passes for 1,158 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The star receiver was even better in his 2019 junior season, snagging 62 passes for 1,327 yards and 14 touchdowns with Jalen Hurts at quarterback.

Though the rebuilding Cardinals need help in many different areas, they're reportedly interested in selecting a wideout early in the 2020 draft, Cluff noted. Meanwhile, Murray is looking to become just the latest sophomore quarterback to take the NFL by storm.
