[SOLVED] MXLinux: how to get image fonts to show up?

I3 WM - customizing it.
Code:set $ws11 "b i"-"is what I am seeing, I have the fonts in ~/.fonts fc-cache -f , logged out, and in, and still not getting the images to show up.

now it is working logged out again 2nd or 3rd time, and now it i am seeing them. .. waisted post.
