USB key slowness, NOT a Linux question

Hello,
This isn't a Linux related question.
I had 2 Verbatim pinstrip 32 GB sticks USB 3.0.
This is what it looks like

I bought them on Sep 2016.
They were working great.
I lost one.
The other one, one day, was increadibly slow to write to 1 to 2 KB/s.
I tried on 2 PCs, one with Windows 7 64 bit and the other Kubuntu 18.04.4 LTS.
I did some web searches. I did not find much except a page that recommends to format it and if that doesn't work, the USB key went bad.
I formated again with NTFS format.
On Jan 22, 2020, I bought 2 Verbatim Store 'n' Click 32 GB USB 3.0.

On the second week, the write performance for one of them is 1 to 2 KB/s.
The other one, the write performance is about 1.6 MB/s.
Format is NTFS for both of them.
What's going on?
