Maintaining a list of files on a particular hard drive.

Hi there.
I have quite a specific question that I hope you guys might be able to help with.
I am running Openmediavault on an Odroid HC2.
The operating system is running of an SD card and I record to a 6TB Hard drive.
The hard drive contains only TV recordings and ripped DVDS, so they are not irreplaceable - i.e. it would not be the end of the world if I lost them, due to a failed drive.
For this reason, I do not back up the hard drive.
However, if the drive did fail, I would like to know which files were on it so I could re-rip or re-record them.
Ultimately, is there a way to create a list of every file on the hard drive and update it, say, once a day?
