new printers, not real
by yonnieboy from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4ZW9X)
I have a network Epson printer. wf-3640. Running ubuntu gnome, 18.04 LTS. System keeps generating false printers. Print-jobs keep getting sent to false printers. The one named Epson_WF_3640_linux has an IP address. This one would print up until today and then we ran updates and prints happen no more.
The other two printers are Epson_WF_3640_linux@linux.local and Epson_WF_3640_Series. These printers will not delete. Will not remove. They will re-appear.
Am kind of fed-up with the constant nonsense from Epson printers with updates screwing with print-jobs and this double nonsense of multiple magical printers interferring with print-jobs.
Can this problem be resolved without having to remove the printer to the trash and resort to buying a new one?
