Firefox / Google News missing icons/bullets -> Locale problem? CSS problem? Something else?
by rnturn from LinuxQuestions.org on (#500PD)
I don't frequent Google News but when I visit lately -- besides the insanely long access times (is there something going on in the news? :^/ ) -- I can't help but wonder what the heck's happened to the web page. Bullets (I assume) next to the categories are missing and replaced by 2-3 text characters, what I assume are arrows (back to the top of the page maybe) are replaced by "keyboard_up_arrow"---which is rendered upside down.
The attached portion of one of the pages shows what I see.
Is there something amiss in my Firefox (69.0.1, sort of dated) version or is this a desktop environment/locale problem?
Or is Google reverting back to some "Best viewed using..." philosophy? (Mostly kidding there.)
TIA for any hints, ideas, etc.
