Live resource monitoring in terminal

I'm using rasberry pi os with rasberry pi 3b , My question is how can i monitor the communication with a usb endpoint so i know what is going on when hardware is plugged into my system?
I have played around a little with top command and ps but was looking for something that is a little more detailed.
