Report: Broncos haven't ruled out Harris return despite Bouye deal
While it's now less likely, the Denver Broncos haven't slammed the door shut on a Chris Harris Jr. return following their acquisition of fellow cornerback A.J. Bouye, a source told Mike Klis of 9News.
Harris, an impending free agent, will be one of the most coveted cornerbacks on the market when it opens in two weeks. He revealed at the end of the season that he rejected a 3-year, $36-million extension before the trade deadline.
Denver landed Bouye on Tuesday for a fourth-round pick in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The trade cannot be processed until March 18, the first day of the new league year.
Though the Broncos could still try to negotiate a deal with Harris, the 30-year-old seemed to indicate following the Bouye move that his time in the Mile High City is over.
lol They might have to see me now #StrapHarris
