Report: 49ers pick up Juszczyk's 2020 option
The San Francisco 49ers have exercised the option on Kyle Juszczyk's contract, keeping the fullback with the team for the 2020 campaign for $5.45 million, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Hailed for his impact as a lead blocker and receiver, Juszczyk was infamously labeled San Francisco's most important offensive player this past season by Monday Night Football analyst Booger McFarland.
Juszczyk inked a 4-year, $21-million deal with the 49ers in 2017, making him the highest-paid fullback in the NFL.
The 28-year-old helped San Francisco finish with the league's second-ranked rushing attack in 2019 and had three catches for 39 yards and a touchdown in Super Bowl LIV.
