Text Editor With Autosave & Multiple Backup Support
by Mulsimine from LinuxQuestions.org on (#50AQV)
I use a program on Windows (UltraEdit) that allows me to save a copy of my work every 60 seconds. Each time it saves, it updates the original file, but also makes a brand new backup. This allows me to escape the potential dangers of not being able to undo something I wrote and rewrote over 20 minutes ago. It is super important to my work.
I've checked Sublime Text, Atom, LibreOffice Writer, and Kate. None of these applications offer autosaving in timed intervals or multiple backups. Does anyone know if a free editor exists for Linux with this functionality?
