LibreOffice 6.4.1 Menu Grayed Out

Slackware 64 14.2.
With LO 6.4.1 the top menu bar is functional but grayed out -- looking disabled or inactive.
At work I saw the same problem when testing 6.4.1 from Debian backports. On Debian I traced the bug to a faulty libreoffice-gtk3 package.
Is the menu functional in Current and this is a 14.2/GTK3 issue?
