If there's one thing I don't like about PC gaming, it's waiting for a publisher to release the minimum requirements for that game I want. When you have an aging PC or a budget build, it can be a cover-your-eyes moment. Some games aren't so rough. But Doom Eternal is pretty rough. Publisher Bethesda and developer Id Software released the requirements to play Doom Eternal on PC this week.

To really flex your specs, you'll want to play at either 2160p resolution at 60 frames per second or 1440p at 120 frames per second with "Ultra Nightmare" settings. You'll need:

  • Intel Core i9-9900K or better, or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or better
  • 16GB System RAM
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti (11GB) or AMD Radeon VII (16GB)

European players can play starting at 4:01 PM Pacific Time, and players in New Zealand, Australia, and Asia can play at 7:01 AM Pacific Time. Bethesda says you can pre-load the game starting 40 hours before your region's launch time.

If you're playing on console or Stadia, Bethesda also goes into resolution and feature specifics for those in the same post.
