Bruce Power revitalization hits major milestone

The revitalization of the Bruce Power site is hitting a major milestone in 2020 with the beginning of its Major Component Replacement project.
The MCR, which will see six of the site's eight units upgraded between now and 2033, begins with Unit 6. That unit has been taken offline, four years after the start of the company's Life Extension Program.
"We started in 2016 and we have invested about $2 billion so far and all that work we are doing is on time and on budget," Mike Rencheck, Bruce Power president and CEO said recently.
