NFL prohibits in-person visits with draft prospects

The NFL sent teams a memo Friday prohibiting in-person pre-draft visits involving prospects due to coronavirus concerns.

Teams can still interview players but must do so via phone or video conferences, per the memo.

There are restrictions on those conference meetings, however: Teams are limited to three such meetings with an individual player per week and a single call can't exceed one hour.

The memo is the NFL's latest response to the spread of the coronavirus. A number of clubs are temporarily closing their facilities and suspending travel for all personnel as a result.

Earlier Friday, the Miami Dolphins hosted Ohio State running back J.K. Dobbins for a pre-draft visit and were also able to secure a last-minute meeting with Utah State quarterback Jordan Love, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
