Fresh install of Arch not booting : "Loading Linux linux"

I have just installed Arch Linux following the wiki to the letter. When I boot this fresh installation, Grub works but the system stops with the message "Loading Linux linux" and nothing happens.
I am quite happy to start the installation process again but I don't want to end up with the same issue again.
I installed Arch before on this Thinkpad X201 following the wiki (about 5 years ago) and did not experience this issue.
