hii,
i finally installed zorin os on my friend's laptop (slow laptop , was originally bought and came with windows 10, the sluggishness of windows 10 on this laptop is sickening).
since zorin os and ubuntu are the same , almost ,just some graphic different in my opinion.
my webdavs connection on nautilus ubuntu is quite stable, although i must admit, the download speed is kind of felt like slow.. partly because there is now gauge of showing the speed and download percentage.
zorin os, nautilus "connect to server" does not "mount" webdavs connection. sometime it takes many tries to be able to get mounted.
especially when it first start up, there won't be any mounted webdavs connection. i have to open and close nautilus... and some when it just mounted.
any idea how to improve the "connect to server" connection on nautilus ? or make it start transfer faster..
starting transfer of transfer on it is really slow on that laptop. i was embarrassed when i show her. tried many times, it is showing transfer, the round pie looking stuff at top right corner of nautilus.. but it just nothing get transferred.. sometime it transferred a bit , but really slow as compare to my current ubuntu nautilus. but due to the lack of data transfer rate and % , it makes the new user thinking it is nothing transferring..
anybody have any way out with webdavs client if this nautilus is not good at it ?
apparently filezilla pro is not free, and cyberduck cli command line is not user friendly. winscp is horrible jerky running on wine (don't know why, and not intend to find out). i want to leave the laptop os as stable as it can be to hand it to her..
thx
andrew
