We remind all full power and Class A television stations that the first annual Children's Television Report, replacing previous quarterly reports, must be filed by March 30, 2020. The due date is March 30, not April 10, which is when a quarterly report would have been due under the old schedule. This first report must cover children's programming broadcast from September 16, 2019, when the rule change became effective, through December 31, 2019.

The next annual report, covering the entire year from January 1, 2020, through December 31, 2020, will be due February 1, 2021.

Reports must be filed online through the Federal Communication Commission's ("FCC") Licensing and Management system ("LMS"), which can be accessed here.

Our blog post of August 12, 2019, will help if you need to refresh your memory about the change from quarterly to annual reports and the current requirements for quantity, placement, and pre-emption of children's programs.
