Running back Leonard Fournette is apparently confused by comments suggesting his days with the Jacksonville Jaguars are numbered.

"I'm still under the (impression) that Leonard is gone," Mark Long of The Associated Press said Sunday on ESPN690AM. "I don't think Leonard plays another down for this franchise. I think he's absolutely on the trading block. I think that whatever they can get for him, they will get for him."

Long, who covers both the Jaguars and Gators, also criticized Fournette for possibly recruiting free-agent quarterback Cam Newton last week.

The 2017 first-round pick responded to Long:

I want everybody on my TL to remember this interview he's the same one always saying I'm doing a great job this and that lol bet https://t.co/k4aMsLJjDS

Cornerback Jalen Ramsey and pass-rusher Dante Fowler Jr. agree with their former teammate's criticism of the Jacksonville media.

You know they been clowns brudda... #GETOUT lol

Jacksonville has the worst media in Mabey all of sports . Just bad

Ramsey and Fowler were already with the Jaguars when the team selected Fournette with its fourth overall pick in 2017. The three helped Jacksonville reach the AFC Championship Game that year.

However, the Jaguars have lost most of their players from that playoff run, including Ramsey and Fowler, who were traded to the Los Angeles Rams in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
