Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer free access weekend starts today
Last month, Activision launched Call of Duty: Warzone, which is a first person battle royal based on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Warzone functions as an additional game mode for those who already own Modern Warfare, However, Activision has also made Warzone available for free for those who do not own the base game.
Activision is now giving free players of Warzone a chance to try out Modern Warfare for free as well. Starting today at 10AM pacific time through Sunday, those with the Warzone client will be able to hop into Modern Warfare's multiplayer in the Stocked Up, Locked Down" playlist. The playlist rotates between two maps: Atlas Superstore and Shoot House. While free players will be limited to these two maps, the playlist cycles through a variety of team-based game modes, giving free players a taste of what Modern Warfare has to offer.
