Booting issue, slackware 14.2
by MUSTDOS from LinuxQuestions.org on (#51RYM)
I had an issue with my installation that LILO wouldn't install
I disconnected my "windows 10 hard drive" and kept the one intended for Linux connected and successfully installed LILO on it as an MBR. I rebooted the system twice to make sure that LILO works properly.
However, I used windows again and tried to boot to Slackware 14.2 again and got this...
"end Kernel panic - not syncing: no working init found. Try passing init= option to kernel. See Linux Documentation/init.txt for guidance"
I wouldn't toy around the documentation since I don't know what broke
My motherboard is ASUS Sabertooth RUF2.0 AM3+ (oddly, Slackware detected and used LILO on it and not ELILO)
However, my UEFI samsung laptop doesn't suffer from this issue and boots with ELILO properly.
