How to install and use Jamulus server on linux mint

Hi, I've managed to install Jamulus and am looking for a very beginners (ie step-by-step guide) to installing and using a server (preferably on my own computer) so that I can share music with friends. The guides I've found so far are all a bit too techie for me except for one here which is using a cloud-based version of linux
