The Kansas City Chiefs may have won the Super Bowl, but they didn't finish the regular season with the most wins. That honor went to the 14-2 Baltimore Ravens, who closed at 40-1 to finish atop the league.

Kansas City (+450) and Baltimore (+600) opened as the favorites to capture the regular-season crown in 2020, with seven of the 10 teams with the shortest odds residing in the NFC.

Here are the teams bettors should consider or avoid when it comes to which will finish the campaign with the most victories:

Best bet

Dallas Cowboys +1200

The classic underachievers, the Cowboys enter 2020 with a new head coach in Mike McCarthy, who will try to do what Jason Garrett couldn't and convert Dallas' talent into wins. The Cowboys failed to record more than nine wins in six of Garrett's nine seasons.

McCarthy inherits a team that's ready to win now. Quarterback Dak Prescott is coming off his best season and leads a unit that ranked first in total offense. The Cowboys added Gerald McCoy and Dontari Poe to their defensive line and brought in safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to help offset the loss of Byron Jones in the secondary.

There's no doubt the Cowboys have the talent to finish as one of the top teams in the NFC. Now, with an upgrade at head coach, Dallas could finally put it all together and win 12-plus games in 2020.

Best value

Seattle Seahawks +1600

The Seahawks were a popular fade last season because the team didn't rank high in many of the key advanced statistics - they allowed 5.9 yards per play, which ranked 27th in the NFL - and went 7-2 in games decided by six points or fewer, with two of those victories coming in overtime. The latter suggests the team was rather fortunate in 2019.

However, Seattle was able to overcome its porous defense and win tight games because of Russell Wilson. The superstar quarterback finished second in MVP voting and the team finished 11-5, and also just a half-yard away from winning the NFC West.

Seattle's young defense should improve in 2020, especially if the team can re-sign defensive end Jadeveon Clowney. On the offensive side, Tyler Lockett continues to emerge as a legitimate top receiving option, DK Metcalf will look to build on an exciting rookie campaign, and the team added wide receiver Phillip Dorsett and tight end Greg Olsen to help Wilson's cause. This is a dangerous team and the best value on the board at 16-1.

Team to avoid

Green Bay Packers +1000

The Packers are extremely overvalued at 10-1. Green Bay went 13-3 in head coach Matt LaFleur's first season, but you should expect some regression this year, as the Packers went 8-1 in games decided by eight points or fewer.

Green Bay's offense should be fine with Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams, and Aaron Jones leading the charge, but it's the defensive side of the ball that's concerning. The Packers need to fix a rush defense that allowed 120 yards per game and 4.7 yards per carry in 2019.

This team has the talent to compete for another NFC North title, but with a schedule that includes games against the San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Philadelphia Eagles, you should pass on the Packers to finish with the most wins in the league.
