LMDE 4
by edcarol214 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#51XCT)
Good Morning,
I am new to Linux Mint and I am somewhat upset. I have an older 32 bit computer that used to run WindowsXP. I have gone to Linux 19 in the hopes that I would have a long running solution to Microsoft's zeal to make money by changing operating systems. I read in the Linux blog that Mint is going to LMDE 4 as of July 1, 2020 and that it will be only available to 64 bit computers. I also read in the blog that while the older LMDE will continue to function, it will not receive updates and the like. This sounds very familiar to Microsoft. Is there going to be any attempt to have a 32 bit version of the new kernal or am I again lost to "progress."
Sincerely,
Ed Paris
