FSTAB (LVM) : How to fill in the first field for Logical Volumes?

Hi!

Please,
in /etc/fstab file,
what is the recommanded way to fill the first (device) field if it is a Logical Volume (LV) created by lvm2 ?

Under what circumstances to choose between :
  • UUID
  • /dev/vg/lv
  • /dev/mapper/vg-lv
  • or what else?
I've read (don't remember where) that UUID is not recommended for LV
but I've forgotten what was the reason for.

So should be kind if someone wants to clarify this subject,
because I don't find answer in manpages (fstab ; mount ; lvm)
