blfs 9.1 unable to start kde when not in root user

i've been trying to make my blfs system a multi user capable one but when in the konsole i type "su <name of user>" i get this
Code:bash-5.0$but when i try in cli mode i get this
Code:<name of user>[/]$i've check the configuration file in the bash startup file but i still can't get it to go to kde instead i was presented with a console a function cursor
i have no idea what to do thanks in advance
