Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller has tested positive for COVID-19, his agent told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Miller has asthma and went to see the team doctors after feeling sick recently, and then he was diagnosed, according to James Palmer of NFL Network.

"I've just been here in the crib and I started to get a little cough. Got tested 2 days ago," Miller said, according to Mike Klis of 9News.

"I started to feel normal yesterday and then this morning Dr. (Steve) Geraghty called me and told me. It's crazy," he added.

The Super Bowl 50 MVP is currently resting at home and plans to speak publicly Friday, according to Rapoport.

"Von is doing well and recovering at home in self-isolation," the Broncos said in a statement. "He remains under the care of team doctors, who are following all coronavirus treatment procedures to ensure a safe environment for Von and our community."

Miller is the second active NFL player to test positive. Los Angeles Rams center Brian Allen also tested positive three weeks ago and again early last week.

Allen said he's now symptom-free after losing all sense of smell and taste, and experiencing fatigue, headaches, and a periodically sore throat.

The NFL has closed all team facilities indefinitely to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.

Though the league is currently operating under the hope and belief the 2020 season will take place as scheduled, contingency plans have been discussed if necessary. Those plans reportedly include playing games in empty or partially filled stadiums, or even playing a shortened schedule.

The NFL and the players' association recently reached an agreement on a "virtual" offseason program.
