The link is a pic. I'm not sure how or where to post a pic so i can use the img tags.

Today I picked up an older, but solid beast.

Intel Xeon e3 1225, 16gb ecc ram on an atx intel server board (not sure which). It's a sandy bridge.

Took me most of the day to migrate my stuff as I initially had some issues with getting it to pxe boot, solved by clearing bios (should have done that in the first place). Then a problem with Debian working with the LXD snap. I ultimately ended up with Ubuntu 18.04 Server. It's headless in my guest room with a little ups next to it. I finally have everything done and working just right. Thankfully my load is so low the majority of the time that it shouldn't be a huge power hog.

The 3 minecraft servers are all in a ramdisk, which is one of the reasons I wanted that ram. This has allowed me to convert every machine in my house to an ltsp pxe boot with the exception of my windows installation on my personal desktop. 3 media centers & my desktop as needed for pxe.

Management is very much simplified, I have plenty of room for drives now, and I finally have a proper case & hardware running in here. There aren't enough locations for drives if I was to put an LSI 9211 in it mode in each of the x8 slots. Right now I only have 2 2tb 2.5 drives in it and a single 1tb datacenter drive. Not even at half my capacity but Im ready for awhile barring any major hardware fail.

I don't know what this machine is worth. I got it on craigslist for 100 bucks. For my purposes it was more than worth it. I'm in a good mood.latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=DcOx9KqHVM4:d8neKhmmZWA:F7zBnMy latest?i=DcOx9KqHVM4:d8neKhmmZWA:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=DcOx9KqHVM4:d8neKhmmZWA:gIN9vFwDcOx9KqHVM4
