LUKS

How secure is LUKS encryption? Are there any ways around it?
Let's say that I encrypted a drive with LUKS with one of the best and longest passkeys. What would someone have to go through to unencrypt the content? I you don't mind explaining in detail I would certainly be very appreciative
Second separate question:
Are there any other forms of encryption or encrypting programs or tools available on Debian 10 that can be used to further secure sensitive information?: credit card numbers, personal information, medical records, contracts, etc..
