From mint to open mandriva wise oe not ?
by Linux0110 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#52D9Q)
I have been using mainly linux mint, but I also tried pardus, manjaro and astra linux. Now I want to try open mandriva but I am concerned about some things:
1- It is not financially backed and the guys behind it are few. I am concerned about this distro ending like antergos or having stability issues.
2- I think that it would give me problems with updates and graphic card drivers (AMD) or am I wrong ?
3- Can choosing a minor distro like Open Mandriva give me issues with having reasonably up to date software (I'm not an update maniac just want my software to not be outdated)?
4- Core terminal commands are the same as other distros (except package manager obviously and other RH only things) and is it better for learning linux instead of a ubuntu based system?
Thank you in advance for your patience but I couldn't find satisfying documentation on this topics elsewhere.
