Best Windows-esque low-resource distro
by johnmb12 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#52E7N)
Sorry, probably been asked a thousand times, but...
Have an 'old' laptop (an x86, Dell Inspiron 6400 - 4GB RAM), that I want to setup for my grandson, 1st grade of primary, AND it will need to be usable by his mum for settings/installs etc.
I have installed Bodhi on it at this point, which I think would be fine for HIM, but feel that his mum would struggle with doing the settings, etc.
I am going to install/configure initially, (been using Linux for years) so no issue there....
Does anyone have any suggestions for an appropriate distro that would be suitable?
Appreciate all input!
Thanks,
John.
