GRUB menu wont let me change to advanced option
by jubilee62 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#52P9R)
GNU GRUB version 2.04 - the highlighted bar is stuck on "Ubuntu" and will not let me change it to "Advanced options for Ubuntu" using arrows or anything.
I was trying to upgrade from Ubuntu 19.10 to Ubuntu 20.04 but got this message: "Kernel panic - not syncing - unable to mount root fs on unknown - block (0,0)".
So I tried putting in my Ubuntu 19.10 dvd and rebooted but nothing happened except back to the grub menu that won't let me move to advanced options.
I am locked out - any suggestions? Please help? Thanks
