KODACHI 6.2 and WIFI not working

Are there any people intimately familiar with Kodachi here?

I had tested Kodachi 6.1 live and everything worked fine.
However 6.2's WiFi doesn't detect any wireless "networks".

I've got really standard hardware: Acer laptop, quad-core and lots of ram. It's from over a decade ago, has never had issues with wifi on anything. I don't know what they changed in 6.2, but it just doesn't detect anything.

Any help to fix much appreciated.
