Trump, on why coronavirus task force is ending now: 'It'll be a flame, and we'll put the flame out.' (?)
Impeached and manifestly unfit United States president Donald Trump continues to blunder while more than a thousand Americans die each day.
Asked today by a news reporter why now is the time to end the White House coronavirus task force, even as medical experts say COVID-19 is continuing to spread and may explode in the fall, Trump says:
"Because we can't keep our country closed for the next five years." While it might come back, "It'll be a flame, and we'll put the flame out."
?
The quality of our test is also the best," Trump added in the wacky pandemic briefing.
Responding to another question about why he is demanding that businesses reopen: I'm viewing our great citizens of this country to a certain extent and to a large extent as warriors. They're warriors. We can't keep our country closed. We have to open our country... Will some people be badly affected? Yes."
What?
Asked why now is the time to wind down the task force given that doctors say the virus might come back in the fall, Trump says, "Because we can't keep our country closed for the next five years." While it might come back, "It'll be a flame, and we'll put the flame out." ?
