How to install Mint to USB boot ?
by joboy from LinuxQuestions.org on (#533M0)
Hi there,
I've been using USB flash boot for long time, I simply install to hard drive the normal way, and then put it in the USB enclosure and it will boot normally, just now I installed the LMDE 4 to a USB SSD but it won't boot normally, it shows me the logon prompt in text mode, and I can't get to the GUI after logon and 'startx' it said unable connect to the X server something like that.
Then I try again install to a SATA SSD, then put it in the USB enclosure and it boots normally to the GUI logon prompt, I am sure I selected the correct drive to install but don't understand why I couldn't install directly to USB and boot normally, it did work on previous version any comment ?
