yast2 without gui

I am using
openSUSE Leap VERSION="15.1"
By default yast2 version 4.1.75-lp151.2.16.1 is installed.
Calling "yast2" starts without GUI.
This is a new problem. Unfortunately, I cannot remember when it first occured.
I am regularly updating my system via "zypper up".
Where shall i look for a solution?
